Easter-Mad-Hat-Day at Elin’s school today. The mother made some improvements on the hat that won such rave reviews last year. Elin could barely keep her head straight. Anyway, she needs to be sporty these days. Georgetown is lazytown no more with the Cricket World Cup in town. Henry played in Ralf Schumacher’s Europe XI (Ralf is here on behalf of the EU) against South-America in a (not-so) friendly football match on Saturday. However, no one seems to have noticed Henry’s crucial goal in the 5-4 win, due to serious cricket fever. The first game in Georgetown will take place tomorrow. Already there is some excitement. Two Irish sport correspondents have been mugged and an English BBC sport journalist has been made persona non grada for establishing the simple fact that Georgetown and Skegness have much in common. Apparently, the president of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, our dear old Barrat, is not amused and refuses to speak to the BBC. Thank god this very blog has escaped his attention up to now…
